So, from what I gather from the trailer:
1. Humans have spaceflight, travel to habitable world (with different atmosphere that can't be breathed by humans.)
2. Humans have download-your-brain technology.
3. Humans discover alien race, either capture / find dead one and plug human soldier's (protagonist) brain into one of them. (hence, the alien being an avatar for the human controller)
4. Protagonist goes on wild adventure on this planet able to freely breath, move around, and talk and blend in with alien race.
It's hot. And it will permanently embed the word "avatar" into general use. Get ready for it this December!
